Schizophrenia is not contagious.  You cannot give your brother schizophrenia.  This illness has a genetic component so it can run in families.  Numerous people in my family have this illness.  It wouldn't be your fault if your brother developed it, he would become sick because it is an illness that is genetic and runs in the same family.  It is not transmitted by human contact or living together in close rooms.
