Is my child having a pyschotic episode? She is currently on medication and has been doing well for the past 5 months. During Chraitmas she became quieter, eat less and gets irriated and then has a massive temper tantrum. she mumbles to herself at times, either is laughing or crying, but a second later she can appear normal and have a conversation with us. what is this type of behaviour?

Dear agreen,

Your daugher needs to be seen by a competent professional.

You don't mention why she was given the medication, or what the original diagnosis was that led her to be placed on the meds, and how old your daughter is.

Her doctor should be able to determine what's going on, or a child psychologist.

Please get her help immediately.

Regards,

Christina
