Hello Mask of sanity,   I understand your hesistancy to be on a cocktail of medications.   I'm sorry, I cannot weigh in with a definitive answer to your question.    What I can say: you have to weigh the benefits of taking the drugs versus going without.  There's a drug, Provigil, that is sometimes used to combat fatigue and make a person more alert or wakeful.  I do not treat or diagnose problems, so I'm not able to tell you whether or not Provigil would be good for you.   I also don't know what Citalopram is used for.  Depression?  Psychosis?  And is the Dexamphetamine for weight loss?   I suggest you talk to your local, reputable pharmacist for ideas about taking all three drugs and their side effects, if you are worried about the side effects.   You may need the Risperdalfor the long-term, too.  It's all about having symptom relief.  If you feel the combination of meds gives you maximum benefit, you may need to stay on them, at least for now or until better meds come along.   Regards, Christina
