That is what I'm trying to find out. I had a long term marriage to a schizophrenic. I just started looking for info, so I can only tell you what I experienced. Every day was very hard. I learned to live one day at a time. I never knew what I would wake up to or come home to. There was alot of delusions and voices. Every day I was accused of some kind of affair, and I never had any. I even took a lie detector test after we were together a few years. Of course I passed it and it didn't do any good. I was ready to take another one after many more years, but it would have been used in my favor in the divorce. I was ready to leave after all those years finally, but things were taken out of my hands. There is nothing I can do to  change anything now. I know he is very close with God and in better care than I could have given him. He passed away a couple months ago, because of the delusions. He went to meet something. He had been seeing UFO's many times a day for weeks, and said some strange things. So I know what happened. For someone married or living with someone with this, the best thing you can do is get them some help. They need medicine to help balance their brain chemicals.
