Hello and Good Day!

I think you'll find that alcohol and psych. drugs are not a good mix, at any time of day or in any amount.         From my personal experience, I know that when I mix these two, I get very dizzy and sometimes physically sick.    I would avoid booze while taking your medication.

In regards to your second question, the answer is quite relative.       Some people get quick results from anti-psychotics such as zyprexa, but for most of us it takes some time.        Be patient with yourself and your health-care professional.     There should be results, yes, but this depends on what we know about mental illness.

Usually, according to science, it takes six to eight weeks for the drugs to make a difference.

Good luck!
