Hello Joe,

I'm the community leader here and I will echo what everyone has already told you.

Go to a hospital where you can get treated.

If you have schizophrenia, you will need to take medication and also consider talk therapy or cognitive therapy.

The leading psychiatrists in the field of psychiatry all agree that the longer a person waits to get medication, the more severe the symptoms of the illness will get.  This could result in ongoing disability.

Even if you have only heard the voices for two weeks or a month or two months, delaying treatment is not an option.

Listen to me: I got help within 24 hours and today I have a great life even though I was diagnosed with schizophrenia.  You may be too young to believe you can have a better life after you're diagnosed than you had before you were.  However, it is possible to have a good life even if you have schizophrenia.

Take care of your future by taking care of what's going on right now, now.

Please seek help.  We will support you in what you are going through.

Regards,

Christina

HI Joe,

GET PROFEESIONAL HELP NOW!!!

The sooner you get help the easier it will be. If you can't talk to your parents, tell a teacher or a counsleor. There's is hope.

SZ is manageable through meds and therapy.

I was 17 when I first got "sick." My best friend was the only one who knew. I couldn't tell anyone and he didn't either. It was a about a month and a half before my parents took notice.

I will repeat my first line...GET PROFESSIONAL HELP NOW!!!

Dave

I agree with Dave.  I wish I had gotten help when my symptoms first appeared, but I waited for years.  If you are thinking about hurting yourself or others, then that is certainly the time to get help.  Go to a psychiatrist soon.  If you can't get in to see on right away, tell your family doctor about it.  Or check yourself into a hospital that has a psychiatric unit and ask for an evaluation.  If you and your parents can't afford treatment, many times the county provides mental health care on a sliding scale or for free.  Go now!

Hi Joe Watson,

I agree with what everyone else is telling you go get help. NOW!!! You don't want to wait and mess up your life. You are young and don't want to have to spend it in some jail locked up. If this is something that need attention right now and you feel you can't talk to your parents. Just go to the closest hospital's er. I'm sure they can do something to get you going in the right direction. Don't just keep putting it off. Good Luck!!!

Hello there,

Please go to the emergency room of a good hospital. Tell the triage nurse you are having an emergency situation and must see a psyciatrist immediately.

Tell the doctor what is going on. He will be able to prescribe medications that will help you. That will either stop all this, or some of it. But medication that will most definately help you a lot! It might even stop the voices.

Please don't delay-you and others are in danger... Go now to a hospital and get help..
