I am schizo-affective and enjoy doing math to create charts in MS Excel -- why? I also am
I also suffer from schizoaffective disorder.
I wish I knew the what, why and how voices are created. I would be in total ectasy if they went away for good.
I've heard voices for many years and recently started to fight back. The voices are less frequent.
I hope you can find a good way to deal with the voices.
Keep the faith,
Dave

Hello CG,
Welcome to the Connection!
Alas, I haven't ever heard voices however I believe stress can exacerbate them and that makes sense to me. I find that if I keep stress to a minimum I can go without symptoms. Of course a person can have symptoms even when he or she doesn't have stress. I have a theory that stress effects chemicals in the brain (cortisol is one of them if I recall) so that could be why the voices flare up when a person is under stress.
Feel free to write SharePosts or post other questions. You will find people here to be supportive and we will encourage you in your career for one thing.
Myself, I have had no interest in math. Writing is my thing.
Best regards,
Christina
