Hi Jacash,
Please ask your pharmacist to print out the info on Clozaril. The main thing is to get regular blood tests to make sure you don't develop agranulocytosis, a major side effect of the Clozaril that affects blood cells.

Weight gain, low white blood cell count.
I took Clozaril for many years. it was the only med that made me feel "normal." I stayed out of a hospital for 7 years in a row. Unfortunatley the white blood counts were too low and I had to stop taking it.

Clozaril has been effective for my son for 14 years but dosen't seem to be now. He takes 100mg daily. Does it stop working for some people or does he need a higher dosage?
