This is only my opinion.  I'm not a professional, and I don't treat or diagnosis any kinds of health problems.  I'm giving you my feeling about the use of Ritalin and other drugs widespread in young children.

I would be very leary of anyone who diagnosed a two-year old child with ADD in only a few minutes.  Who diagnosed the kid?  Did you send him to a psychiatrist to be diagnosed?  Why was the diagnosis made?  Only a qualified medical professional can make the diagnosis of ADD, and I used the term qualified with good reason.  Too many doctors prescribe Ritalin and other drugs like it as a matter of course in treating kids who show any sign of not sitting still or concentrating in school.

The statistics show that boys aged 10 in the suburbs are the highest segment of the population treated with such drugs.  It's hard for me to believe that Ritalin is always necessary in every case where it's prescribed.
