Hi ashish,

Be compassionate towards the person who is diagnosed with schizophrenia.  Have conversations with him.  Help him set goals he would like to achieve.  Give them information about their illness and refer them to this website for support.

Understand that a person diagnosed with schizophrenia CAN recover, so tell him that recovery is possible.  Stress to him the important of taking the medication every day as prescribed.

Regards,

Christina
