Hello newbie,

From what I hear, the government turns everybody down at first for disability benefits.  If you can, get a lawyer to appeal the decision.

Contact your local NAMI to find supported living in your town or city.  Their hotline, (800) 950-NAMI (6264) staff will direct you to the local affiliate.

You can also call your city or states office of mental health, they might have ideas about halfway houes or supported living.
