Hi womanc,   A lot of times people with SZ don't remember what happened to them, or don't remember accurately what happened.  Perhaps as you lie awake you are trying to reconcile what happened and make sense of it, so you're playing back what you think might have happened.  I would let go and accept that it wasn't under your control.  Then I would replace the worrisome thoughts with positive ones.  You could even, at the moment you're lying in bed with wandering thoughts, take up a journal or notebook and write down all the positive things you like about yourself and your life.  To distract yourself from the worry and to feel good.   Regards, Christina
