Hello k2468,   I feel for what you're going through as you possibly feel a deep affection for this guy.   We all do something like this at times and have an attraction to be in a relationship.   However, I must be honest and tell you in this situation, "the only way out is out," and I feel you need to consider leaving him, both for you sanity, your mental health, and your physical health.   Whether or not he has schizophrenia isn't the issue.  The issue is that if he's using works, shooting up, and you have sex, you could get AIDS.   Respectfully, Christina
