I can understand your question but to be totally honest with you only a professional m.d or psychiatrist can answer your question. Also it may take some time to find the correct medication for you so you must be patient and give the prescribed medication time to work. Also you must be totally honest with any doctor you see and you must keep him up to date on any side-effects any medication he prescribes for you.

Hi Jennifer,

Put your mind at ease by getting to a psychiatrist immediately.

Be honest with him or her about what's going on.

Your symptoms could indicate any number of causes, like bipolar as well as schizophrenia, so a competent professional will be able to guide your treatment.  If you have trouble finding a person to treat you, write back and I'll give you ideas.

Best,

Chri

YOu have bipolar.  Lithium is the best choice followed by depakote and lamictal.  You might have to take medicine for bipolar depression.  Try low dose prozac.
