Hello Tyrone Love,   I would contact the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) hotline at (800) 950-NAMI (6264) to get a referral to their local affiliate in your city or town that could point you to resources, also the local NAMI affiliates have family support groups for family members whose loved ones have mental illnesses.   If your father or mother is at all violent, or considered an immediate danger to him or herself or to others, your parent can be hospitalized against his or her will and be forced to take medication.  If it cannot be proven that your parent is dangerous or violent, I understand the frustration because in that case, most emergency room staff will turn away your loved one, and things could get worse before they get better.   I wish you all the best.   Regards, Chri
