First priority for someone with schizophrenia: Immediate treatment with medication and therapy.  Cognitive therapy is often used with schizophrenia patients.  Second priority could be: regaining functioning level via various psychosocial means such as day program, IPRT, volunteer work, school or some kind of job.  Third priority could be: maintenance stage of recovery: living independently and finding and keeping friends and possibly romantic partners.

Just some ideas from the way I see it.

Regards,

Christina
