First of all, just because your father had sz doesn't mean that you automatically have it too, although it is wise to be aware of any changes in yourself that seem to point toward it.  If you are having any symptoms, see a psychiatrist immediately for evaluation.  And if she believes medication would help, be open to taking it as prescribed.  That would be the best way to stay on track and move toward recovery.   Carolyn
