take zyprexia without schizophrenia
I would like to know what the effects of taking Zyprexia Zydis are if you aren't supposed to ingest it. I work at a group home, where one the the patients takes the medication. The drug fell to my hand and partially disolved. This was the worst instance, but occasionally pieces of the medication make contact with my skin. I would like to know more, so if you can plese email me at bluedragonfly0311@yahoo.com, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Kimberley
Kimberly:
You'll have to talk with a psychiatrist about the potential effects of having physical contact with zyprexia Zydis. If you are concerned about this, I would investigate the question with a psychiatrist as soon as you are able. I'm NOT suggesting that there could be an effect or that that is no reason to be concerned. I'm suggesting you talk to a psychiatrist sooner rather than later, if for no other reason, than to take appropriate action or put your mind at ease.
All the above aside, I want to thank you and commend you for the work that you do. Working at a group home, as you do, is demanding work, but will certainly benefit all of its residents. I hope that you find the work rewarding because you deserve to be rewarded. I have schizophrenia and understand how important your work can be.

Hi Kimberly,
I echo Robin in thanking you for all the great work you do.
Is it possible for you to administer the drug without contact, possibly by scooping it out of the bottle with a plastic spoon or a sheet of paper? I haven't seen the Zydis so I'm not sure how big it is and how carefully you could scoop, this is just a suggestion.
Regards,
Chris
