Hello,
Carolyn is right-on that you need to see a professional.
Schizophrenia, though most often occurring at first onset in the teen or young adult years, could develop later in life, too.
It's also possible that you have anxiety or something else.
Please get help to rule out or confirm what's going on.
Regards,
Christina
You know what is normal for you and what isn't. If you are thinking weird, distiurbing thoughts the best thing to do is see a psychiatrist and talk it over with her. It is not impossible to start having schizophrenia symptoms at 43, but there are also physical problems that can masquerade as mental illness, and your doctor can order tests to find out if that is a contributing factor.
Best wishes, Carolyn
