You know what is normal for you and what isn't.  If you are thinking weird, distiurbing thoughts the best thing to do is see a psychiatrist and talk it over with her.  It is not impossible to  start having schizophrenia symptoms at 43, but there are also physical problems that can masquerade as mental illness, and your doctor can order tests to find out if that is a contributing factor.   Best wishes, Carolyn
