Whats the ideal treatment for patient having paranoid schizophrenia with OCD?
My elder sister is having Paranoid Sz with OCD. We have been treating her for last 9 years but still her condition remains the same. We have tried with 12 ECT two years back and the result was negative as immediately after that she became very agressive and violent. After that she was again on medicines but sometimes she use to be ok and sometimes very aggressive and violent hitting any family member. We had to admit her in hospital when situation went out of control. Doctor in hospital again tried 14 ECT in 40 days time but hardly any improvment in her. Now they had suggested to transfer her to rehab centre for behaviour therapy so we agreed and now she in rehab from today onwards. I would like to know whether this treatment will help her or not ? I would also like to know whether she will ever come back to little normal life? We are india and do you have any treatment knowledge about this country?PLz suggest us. Also tell us what is the normal life span of this patients?
