Hi! I am also schizophrenic and I was having a hard time quitting smoking. Then my ex's mother told me about Wellbutrin. It's an anti-depressant that helps you quit smoking. I went on it and with in a week I was no longer having that feeling where I NEEDED a cigarette. But I was still addicted to the action. And I think I was a little emotionally attached. But I was smoking less and less until I was down to like two cigarettes, then one cigarette a day. Then I just stopped. It was great. A few months later I quit taking the wellbutrin because of some irritability I was feeling, but we all have dfferent effects from drugs. It's definitely worth a try. Haven't smoked since. Good Luck!
