Can new symptoms start after having sz for years? Like making temperamental outbursts.  I suddenly find myself misreading others' intentions and lash out before I really think it out.  But this has rarely ever happened in the past.

Hi Carolyn,

This could be a symptom, it could be the result of something else, I really couldn't make that call.  However, I can tell you that in my own recovery I had to switch the medication because of new symptoms that slowly rolled in when I was in my early forties.

The SZ manifests itself in different ways over the years.  Sometimes it will be barely there, other times at a low hum, and yet other times it will be a loud roar.

We all want it to be barely there.

Knowing what I know about your situation and your lack of support for wanting to be independent, I wonder if this could somehow be a factor in what you're going through and how you respond to others.  You're going through a lot right now and it's only natural you'd have a lot of feelings and could possibly read into what people are doing or saying.

Regards,

Christina
