Dear Mike,   With all due respect, a women can get pregnant whenever she has unprotected sex.  The medication used to treat schizophrenia and psychosis is NOT birth control and has no effect on that.  If your question is, do women with schizophrenia choose to have kids and get pregnant and raise families, the question is, yes, they do, and they can be successful at it.  It depends on the woman.  I'm a woman of child-bearing age who has chosen not to have kids because I don't want them to inherit my genetic tendency to have schizophrenia.  Schizophrenia runs in my family, so I don't want to take that risk.   Regards, Christina
