my girlfriend has paraniod schizophrenia and bipolar disorder i just want to help her

well i find myself really growing in my understanding of schizophrenia however i have yet to find information on the type my father has......im almost sure its undisisive or something like that.....i really dont like to ask him to many questions about because i dont want to hurt him in anyway but id love to be able to understand a little bit...
