Drugmaker Eli Lilly is reporting that a long-acting formula of Zyprexa called Zyprexa Relprevv has been approved to treat schizophrenia in adults. Company officials say the drug, which is given in a single injection, is effective for up to four weeks at helping manage such schizophrenia symptoms as apathy, delusions, hallucinations, and social withdrawal.
