Generic Risperdal formula gets tentative FDA nod

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given tentative approval for a generic formula of Risperdal (risperidone). Risperidone Oral Solution will be the generic equivalent of Risperdal Oral Solution, which is used to treat schizophrenia and some symptoms associated with bipolar disorder. Final approval is expected when the brandname formula's patent expires in December 2007. Read more »
