Abilify under review for use in bipolar kids

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted priority review status to an application for the use of Abilify in children who suffer from certain types of bipolar I disorder. The antipsychotic med is already approved to treat schizophrenia in both adults and teens. The FDA tries to review drugs with priority review status within six months so that, if approved, the medications can be prescribed to appropriate patients as soon as possible. Read more »
