Schizophrenia May Protect Against Some Cancers: Study

Researchers at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research have found that a gene that puts people at risk for developing schizophrenia may also protect them from certain kinds of cancer. The scientists say they are uncertain exactly how this gene increases the risk of schizophrenia yet also protects against cancers. Their research is ongoing. Read full story >
