Thanks Eileen for sheading light on this topic.  I just had a similar discussion with someone who was woefully uneducated that didn't know you could get your partner pregnant on the first instance.  I know I received sex education in grammar school, and was blown away when I heard this.  I know way too many, including my mother who got pregnant the first time.

 

I hope all that don't know much about this will read your great article so they can understand the ramifications of this.

You are right, there are so many misconceptions and myths floating around and sometimes people don't know what to believe. It is so important to know the right information to help protect yourself from STDs (and unwanted pregnancies).
