Thanks Anj for writing this.  I think one thing many young people especially might not think about now but they may later is about their fertility.  Take care of your sexual health now so that when it comes time later for planning to get pregnant there are no bad surprises.  Something like an untreated STD for example...can have a profound effect on your fertility later in life.

Great information...I do hope our readers will chime in with their comments!

    Thanks Merely Me,

I definitely agree in regards to future fertility. Often young people are not willing to consider the short term consequenses of their actions let alone the long term effects.

I also think that sex is a ver precious thing to be savoured with the right person at the right time, something that many of my peers (and younger people) don't take into consideration.

I am surprised at the young age at which people are becoming sexually active. From a purely biological standpoint, young girls bodies are not readt for sex, let alone pregnancy, and young girls are so susceptible to STDs because of the way their bodies are built.

I assume I am writing for a mature audience, but I guess that remains to be seen. Hope this helps someone out there.

    Hi again!

I think if you look at some of the answers to last week's question of the week you will find that the age for becoming sexually active is becoming younger and younger...some of our respondents saying eleven and twelve.  The audience here is a a very wide range of ages but there are many young people (teens) here wanting answers.

So yes this is an invaluable service to provide information and answer questions!
