PLEASE HELP!!!

By Mariel Wednesday, February 04, 2009

Ok. So I have been on the pill for 4 years. Have had no problems until recently I have been very stressed out. It started in December. I would miss a couple of days here and there, then try to make up for it by taking two at a time, then I would just stop. I did the same thing in January and ended up bleeding almost the entire month and then getting my actual period way earlier then supposed to. Now its February and I am taking a deep breath and want to take a month off to get my body back in sync. However I am engaged and haven't had sex with my fiance since December and would love to be back on birth control in March. I just want to know if my irresponsible taking of the pill in December and January and my not taking it at all in February will change the effectiveness of it in March. I hoping to just completely start over in March and just pretend I'm taking it for the first time after this birth control free February. Is this ok? Is there anythign I need to know beofre getting started again with the pill in March? I'm on ortho-tri-cyclen lo....

While without a condom is better, you and your fiance can use a condom and be protected and at least enjoy some of the fun. Since December?  Yikes.  Sorry I don not have much medical information to share, but please have sex with your fiance.
