I wish to preface my answer by telling you that I am not a doctor.
May we ask how old you are? There are so many possibilities and some are related to age as in perimenopause.
Are you using birth control pills? If you missed a pill then it is possible for your period to begin.
It is really difficult to begin to guess at what is going on without more information. It could be some sort of hormonal fluctuation or something more serious.
I would strongly advise you to call your gynecologist and make an appointment. Your doctor will be able to tell you what is going on far better than we can.
Thanks for reaching out here. Let us know what happens if you can.
