im 19 and i got my period july 13, its been heavy the first 3days which is normal for me but today is the july 21 and im still bleeding. Its not heavy but i am expericeing blood clots, it seems like its gonna stop but then a blood clot comes out and the blood turns back to red. My mother told me to wait until it stops so i cuold go get tested out. but this is scaring me so im gonna just go. 8 days wit my period is not normal for me i only last 6 to 7 days. if anybody has any advise about was going on pleace let me know. im also anemic my iron is very low could that be the problem if so let me kno, this is stressin me out and im trying my best to calm down because i wuoldnt want the situation to get worse. thanks for takein your time reading this, i hope you help me out just a little.thanks

Please know that I am not a doctor. But I do know that there can be a wide variance in menstrual cycles as far as how long they last, the flow, and blood clots. At some point or another we have all probably experienced having blood clots with our period.
Here is some comforting information about blood clots with your period. Are any of the blood clots bigger than a quarter? Are you having a lot of them? If you are experiencing large clots and continue to flow heavily...a call to your doctor is a wise idea. Have you already made an appointment?
I do hope you feel better soon. Try not to panic or anything...chances are everything is just fine and you are just having a heavy period...sometimes that happens. But just in case...do call your doctor for peace of mind.
