What did you take Plan B? If so it's very effective for an "oops" moment like you had on Jan 3rd. Remember that it's not birth control, it's purpose is for "emergencies." It's best that you get on birth control to avoid the worrying and fear of an unwanted pregnancy. You won't be able to enjoy sex if you're worried about that. There are soooo many forms of birth control out there. The Depo Provera shot (you get 4x/yr), Mirena & Paragard are IUD's, birth control patch, etc... So there is really no reason you should go without it.

It doesn't help that you had unprotected sex on the 12th day from the start of your period. Days 10-14 from the 1st day of your period is usually the time in a woman's cycle when she can get pregnant. So if your menstrual period usually starts on the 23rd that means that from the 1st to the 5th of the month is your "fertile" time. Unprotected sex needs to be ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THE QUESTION on those days!!!

Hopefully the reason your period is late is because you're so stressed out. LEARN from this experience and let yourself "off the hook." You're human!

Well, if you are that worried about then, go take a pregnancy test.  You can get one at the Dollar Store for a $1.  Why worry and fret and post comments on here, when a simple little test will put your mind at ease.
