I am sometimes surprised with how little some know about STD's in general. Considering the risks, it is a shame we do not have both public and private health education provided in our public schools more often. I suppose we are too concerned that some might stray into the area of sexual education to do so... duh. They say ignorance is bliss, but just try having to find out about VD from your older brother with a straight face. Well... thank god for health sites. You do a great job starting the educational process.
Thank you for beginning a frank and factual discussion of STD's because while most of us do make lighthearted comments and joke about the ways it is transmitted there is somber, and potentially tragic consequences to becoming infected and passing it on to those we may love, to a newborn infant. How does one deal with that?
This information is needed by each generation. I'm glad you have not hedged your discussion and hope you continue, people, especially young people sometime need an anonymous place to ask questions and learn. The stigma is much less than it once was, treatment more readily available but there is nothing like not getting it in the first place.
