The birth control pill. Yaz,  has been linked to life-threatening side effects such as strokes, blood clots,  and heart attacks. Since 2004, at least 50 deaths have been reported in women taking Yaz and contraceptives made with similar ingredients. Thanks for the information.  It is important to consider your family history and current state of health when you consider which type of birth control is safest, for you personally.  There is no doubt that heightened risk for stroke and clots in your family tree may negate a certain choice of birth control and inherently use of hormonal based birth control may carry a risk of possible negative outcomes.
