Pain down there. Not sure where exactly, I think I'm constipated, perhaps? I try to #2. I can't contract any muscles or the pain just gets worse. I sit down to watch TV. Ouch. I reach for the remote. Ouch. I decide to stand up, since sitting is painful. Ouch. What is happening to me?! I decide that it's just a sore stomach that will feel better tomorrow. I go to bed.
Friday, December 4
School Blood Drive. I just had mono, but I've been better for almost 3 weeks. Nurses say that's fine, so I give blood. It hurts more than the last few times. I don't think anything of it. I go to babysit afterwards. Cute kids. We play around for a couple of hours, then decide to watch a movie. I sit down. Ouch! Oh, here we go again. After movie finishes and kids go to bed, I try to go to the bathroom. This time, no problem. Hmm... Maybe it's in my vagina? I find a lump. White discharge around it. First thoughts: Gross! Shit. STD? Cancer? Am I ever going to have children? Oh my gosh I hope my parents never find out I've had sex. I'm 18 and I've had it maybe 5 times. Good lord. I text my boyfriend. He's scared. After I get home, I tell my mother about the lump. She'll call her female doctor in the morning. I'm scared.
Saturday, December 5
I call the family doctor's office and schedule an appointment. My doctor's not in until Friday. I'll live until then, hopefully. I go to my boyfriends. We talk, I cry a lot. He tells me he's felt the lump before, quite a while ago. He thought it was just part of me. We wonder why it's hurting now. I get home and cry some more. My mom figures it's just pms. I'm supposed to start on Friday. Oh. Oops. I'll have to reschedule that doctor's appointment. Lump is sore as I'm talking to my mom and going to bed.
Sunday, December 6
Lump is a little sore, but it's not bad. I research. It might be a cyst. Definitely not cancer, not an STD. Whew. Are cysts hard? I ask around and wait for replies. Gonna call the doctor's today to reschedule for tomorrow. As long as the doctor is female, I'll be fine. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

After i got home on Saturday, I cried a LOT. I didn't know why I was crying so much, and that is why my mom thought it was pms. Not the lump, the crying. Just to clear that up.

I know there have been a lot of questions on this topic, so know that you are not alone and many turn out to be not serious, often cysts, as you mentioned.
