Q: I havent had a period since I had my daughter almost 2 years ago. Now Im getting this bloody/brown discharge and Im not sure what to do? Is this normal or should I go get checked out?

I havent had a "real" period since 2008, Im 24. Had my baby girl in feb of 2010 and had that "period" right after and it lasted about 3 weeks. I havent had one since and now I am getting this bloody brown discharge/spotting. There was a little last week and then today I noticed a little bit more. about 5 days in between spottings.

You should get checked out by your gynecologist, for the discharge and the lack of mestrual periods.

There is a condition called, Amenorrhea, the absence of periods, the cause of which can be a number of things. You can read about these on an article at the Mayo Clinic, there are sections on the left, some of the causes are listed, and other information. They can help you about the discharge too.Hope this helps some. I like your avatar!
