Q: This month I've had HUGE amounts of clear stretchy discharge at ovulation?

I always notice a clear stretchy discharge at the time of ovulation but this month there's so much I can feel it coming out and when I go to the toilet am having to pull it out.

I was taking Cerazette (progesterone only pill) for a year, which I stopped taking a year ago. The first month after stopping taking it I had a huge amount of clear, stretchy discharge, which I assumed was to do with a change of hormone levels, or perhaps the mucus plug that's supposed to form with POPs coming out? However at the moment I'm not on any hormone pills so I'm wondering what's going on? IS there something wrong with my hormone levels? I have been feeling very weak and tired recently.

Hi there

I guess everything is relative...yes you are supposed to have the clear stretchy discharge during ovulation but the way you are describing it...this is a big change in the amount you normally experience?

The best advice I have to give you is to consult with your gynecologist to determine what is going on with having so much mucus.  But honestly each cycle varies and sometimes there is just more there.

Make an appointment just to make sure.  Thank you for your question.
