Q: Spotting/Bleeding after a week to 2 weeks late period???Possible Pregnancy?

Okay, I have a regular 32 day cycle, and my last menstrual was 06-06-2009, My next cycle was suppose to be 07-07-2009. But it didn't come. Granted I was sexually active on 06-30-2009. I took a pregnacy test 07-08-2009 and it came up negative. I waited a few more days and on 07-11-2009 it came on. Usually I have a four day cycle with med period first two days and light to spot last two days and its over. But it lasted 7 days, which I haven't had happen to me before.

From 07-11-2009 to 07-17-2009, and it was spot one day, to light periods on the 12th and 13th. then the last four days just spots. I'm confused as to how I'm a week late and then with a longer period. I'm not on any type of birth control nor have I ever been. My cycles are pretty regular, I have a 32 day cycle, every once in a while varies down to 31

Then my next out of wack cycle came 08-17-2009, and last six days, 08-17-2009 to 08-22-2009, and it was the same as before a spot on the first day, on 18th and 19th light period and the last 3 days just a spot. I did have sexual intercourse on 07-28-2009. And it's two weeks late, it was suppose to come on on 08-08-2009. The color range from dark red/ burgandy to brown to light pink on both cycles.

My question is, is this normal??? Could I be pregnant or not, I heard rumors about bleeding the first three months of pregnancy. And I haven't had the chance to test again yet, since I just got a new job. And has this happen to anyone else before???

I'm happy either way if it's a baby or not.

Usually have a four day period, first day and second light to med and the last two days spots.

I'm in shape and eat healthy, and I don't have any real stress.

The new job I got, is fun, so it's not any sudden change.

And at college, I have easy worry free classes.

So... I just want help with what may be causing the problem.

I have gotten, achy breasts, headaches that come and go, bloatedness, and feeling hot and cold on some days, every once in a couple of days cramps that are really light, it doesn't bother me. I've been nauseaed every night, usually in the evening or before I sleep. I use to love sleeping on my stomache, but now its soooo uncomfortable that I don't even want to think of trying it anymore. And I also urinate more often. So, I don't know what's really going on with me.

I'm not going to be the one to tell you that you're pregnant because if you are not, I'll catch it! Everything you relate can be symptoms of pregnancy but there is only two ways to tell right now.

Home pregnancy tests are done after a woman has missed her normal period by more than a week. The other way, of course, is to be tested by a doctor. All of these symptoms and changes you mention are indicative of something, so a visit to your gynecologist would be a good idea.

Some early symptoms of pregnancy are listed here and here, along with other possible explanations. I really hope you will make an appointment, your life sounds pretty good right now, may as well clear this up too.

Thanks Paul for your answer, I will look into seeing an gyn, I don't have one. So I will have to look and ask around about who's a good one to go see.

If anyone else is going through something similar or want to make a comment, please do. I need all the help I can get.

I am experiencing something similar.  What was your outcome?

I had a hydatidiform molar pregnancy partial. Basically, my baby wasn't all the way formed right and couldn't live long, or be viable as the doctor said. I also went through a spontaneous abortion, since I didn't want to go surgical.

But I hope this isn't the case for you with what I went through. I hope it's something completely different and you're able to have your baby.
