it sounds like something i had recently - a tiny sebaceous cyst in that area and i found out that it is quite common.  You should get it checked out to make sure that the doctor would simply advise observation versus actually lancing or treating it.  I'm not sure how the pains in the back of your thigh relate to it unless the area is infected and somehow stimulating a nerve.  Get it checked out to be safe.
