im not sure if my period is irregular or not normal...

i got my period in may of 2007 and i got it that august and then that december of 2007. i got my last period in october 2008, 10 months later, but i haven't gotten it since then...it has been 9 months. i know forsure that im not pregnant. is this normal? im 17 now but i was 15 when i started

You will need to have a gynecologist exam you to determine why this has been going on. The Mayo Clinic recommends seeing a doctor if you are 16 and have never had a period, or you have previously menstruated and missed three or more periods in a row.
