Q: I haven't gotten my period for about 5 months. Just spotting. Taken about 40 tests. Whats wrong?

I haven't gotten an actual period for about 5 months. I've taken about 40 at homes pregnancy tests. I've gone to my gyno. They've done blood tests. He says there's nothing wrong. Probably just irregularity. It doesn't sound right to me. What could be wrong with me?

Dear AlwaysCurious,

You sound scared and anxious, 40 tests is a lot!

I'm not a physician so I can't answer your specific question, but I can say that if you are not satisfied with your doctor's response, please go see another one!  Even if your doctor is correct that there is nothing wrong, I'm guessing that he didn't communicate that to you in a way that was convincing to you.  There are ob/gyns out there who will patiently take the time to explain to you why something is not a problem.
