I was sexually active up untill a few months ago. When i stopped having sex the opening of my vagina became sore and felt like the pain you get when you have chapped lips. It was itchy and sometimes stung when i passed urine. A few times specs of blood appeared on the tissue when i wiped after urinating. After about a month it died down and didnt give me much bother anymore. Then today after about two months of not having any sex it became very sore again as if it had never healed and specs of blood appeared again on the tissue when i wiped. I hope you can help. Thanks

Hi there

I am afraid that nobody can tell you what is causing your symptoms over the Internet.  You will need to be seen by a doctor.

Did you experience any other types of symptoms such as a discharge?  Was there any odor?  Could the blood have been related to menstruation?  Is it possible that you have a yeast infection or a urinary tract infection?  Have you been having unprotected sex?  Is there any way that you or your partner have an STD?

There are too numerous of possibilities to guess.  Please see a doctor to be properly diagnosed and treated.

Thank you for your question.
