Q: I have been on tri-sprintec for 9 weeks but I also take Topomax which reduces the effectiveness of tri-sprintec to 85%. Can I take EC with my birth control to prevent pregnancy?

You always want to check with your doctor when adding or stopping a medication, they are the most familiar with your health, conditions, history and other medications.

The FAQ page for Plan B, one of the morning after pills, seems to indicate it would be alright under their, when is it appropriate, or is not appropriate, to use their medication. Still, there is enough at stake with your health to ask your doctor.
