Q: Can I be pregnant?

Hi! So I got my period March 30th-5th of April. I have a 28 day cycle! And I'm very on time every month! I had sex with my guy on the 11th of April (no condom) I was counting out the days and I was supposed to get my period on the 28th and today is the 30th and so far nothing!

I also keep getting cramps that stick around for like 5-10 min then go away. My breast hurt but that happens to me every month when I get my period the only different thing is my nipples hurt! I have been waking up really hungry and some mornings my cup of coffee makes me sick.

Can I be pregnant? Would it be too soon to take a preg. test at home. I won't be able to hit the doctor for a few weeks. I also put in my dates last week to see when it would be likely for me to get pregnant and that happen to be the magical week!

Anywho i'm trying not to freak out I just wanna know if my body is playing tricks on me!lol!

Thanks!

Hi there

First of all...are you trying to get pregnant?  Anything is possible and especially if you have had unprotected sex.  Sometimes period are late though for reasons other than pregnancy.  If you simply can't stand not knowing you could take a home pregnancy test but they are generally the most reliable a week after your missed period.  I am not a doctor but I would guess that your period may just be late.  But if it doesn't come within the week then pregnancy is definitely a possibility.

Let us know what happens!  Thank you for your question.
