I think you may be better off going to a doctor and having them test you to be sure.   You would have to contact the maker of your hpt and ask them this question, there should be an 800 number on the box or in the instructions. But I wouldn't think a few drops of water would make a huge difference since they are testing for the presence of a certain hormone.   There is no 100% sure answer to the tests, even they tell you that. So I can't say if you are truly negative either. Try the doctor before going to any more expense on the hpt's.
