can he catch herpes this way???

i have genital herpes and my partner doesnt ....i was wondering if he has oral sex with me can he catch the virus...he only really licks the clit and im not having an outbreak and when i do have an outbreak its only one sore and its nowhere near the clit...im just confused about the whole virus…
