Q: cant have my period 2 weeks from now and am scheduled to, how can I not (skipping week4 doesnt work)

Hi, I've been taking the oral contraceptive Tri-Sprintec for the past 7 months. Today was my last day of the second week of pills in the pack. Tomorrow I am supposed to start my week 3 and the week after that I will have my period. I have one huge problem: I simply can NOT have my period the week I am supposed to. More specifically, the Wed-Sun of that week. When taking the pills I usually get my period on the Tuesday night of that week and it lasts til Sunday. I have tried the trick where you skip the last week and start a new pack. However, this does not work for me. Instead of getting my period on Tuesday night, I got it on Thursday night. I had two options that came to mind: skip week 3 and start the white pills tomorrow (hopefully get my period) and then start the new pack a week early. OR take Plan B, which I was told was probably a bad idea. I need help ASAP because I am supposed to take my pill by Sunday at 12:15pm. Thanks!!!

Hi there

As much as we would like to stop our periods from coming...and even with the continuous taking the pill approach...there are no guarantees.

This is definitely a question you need to ask your doctor about.

If we may ask...what is the reason you absolutely cannot have your period during that time?

I hope things work out for you.
